ASH WEDNESDAY

We begin our journey of Lent in the is Year of Faith with the Gospel call,  "Create in Me a Clean Heart, O Lord".   Our first blessing on the first day of our 40 Lenten experience was the celebration of Liturgy with Father Ken Lasch at the St. Walburga Monastery.

Our entire school community listened with the ears of their hearts to the message of the Cross +
and the need to be positive in order to experience the hope that God has for us.  We received ashes, a sign of our need for conversion and the hope that we possess as Christians in Jesus, our Lord.

After the celebration of Eucharist, the breaking of the bread, we gave thanks for the gift of being able to celebrate as one body in Christ.

The National Honor Society distributed Operation Rice Bowls after the conclusion of Mass encouraging all students to give alms and share with others in need.
